Deep Thoughts…with Matt

  • Hopefully Idris Elba is front and center in Pacific Rim, but i doubt it with co-stars that are giant monsters and robots and Charlie Day 2 days ago
  • Has everyone already watched Luther? I assume they have, because man, Luther. That's some shit right there. 2 days ago

Deep Thoughts…with Roxanne

  • Subject line of an email from LinkedIn: "Your Degree Doesn't Mean Squat". Thanks guys, I really needed that. 2 days ago
  • I'm a little disappointed that the crowd at the pub next door didn't wail at the Penguins loss...but relieved they didn't riot either. 5 days ago
  • @FredPelzer Days later, I swallowed my pride. It is "yeerk" not "yeerch." I am disappointed in myself. 5 days ago

Where are we?

I’m in graduate school finals. That’s where I am. Luckily, I’ll be out of that abyss by this time next week, so who knows, maybe we’ll finish up this storyline by 2012.

In the meantime, read our archives, wish Matt a Happy Birthday, badger Fred into giving you some free clothes, visit some of our friends, or, if you’re like me, curl up into a little ball and pray for death until the work goes away.*

See you on the other side. We miss you.

*Actually, it’s more like praying for naps.

The Monster Approacheth

Man, people in this comic strip do costume changes faster than the cast of Shrek the Musical. Hey-oh! (Joke bombs. Author killed. New comic written).

I love call-backs in comic strips, which helps to explain why today we’re featuring another stand against the award for mediocrity that was Best Picture being given to The King’s Speech. That was a fine movie with great actors, but Social Network, that strove to be something more.

Haters who gonna hate, the comments are open.

This Is My Rifle

Yet another turn for the worse for our intrepid heroes! It seems the only solution is to put Rex down. Or is it? Duh-duh-duh!

While you wait for Tuesday’s update, definitely appreciate the hard work and skill that went into those guns. Like you could just take them down off the wall and go to work, killing banana monsters. If that was your line of work or something.

Familiar Faces

Hey, it’s that guy! You remember, that guy! You know the one. He’s around all the time. Smells like money. And cologne. But mostly money. Dig that all money smoking jacket. Nice touch. Classy.

I know we’re about three weeks past Halloween, but we’re almost done, and it’s about that time for a story about a vicious were-banana and his roommate. The crispness in the air just screams for banana flavored horror. Full of potassium.

Ululululululululation

Ululation. I guess my college education wasn’t a waste. And I wonder what’s got Rex so spooked? I’m sure readers paying attention can figure out what’s going on here. Thankfully, Gordon and Rex exist in a world of banana monsters, and as such it will take them a little longer to get to right place, providing us with more dramatic tension! Huzzah!
